I'll be holding a wake for the fallen back in London. Care to reveal GG's stats for his eulogy? Same goes for PdM, AK and SIK...

Hi All,

Great idea Marc.

HB will gladly attend the ceremony, and offers to participate if some role might be found for him as part of the proceedings.

Seany, I wonder if this is a type of impromptu event that might be attended by Grandees? There is a chance that a Grandee might attend a ball, a theatre opening or race, so why wouldn't they honour the fallen?

Cheers,
Scott / HB

Scott,
The attendance of a Grandee would depend on the type of affair Marc has in mind... if it is to be a drink down a club, then it is unlikely any will attend, if it is a ball at SOB's mansion then there is a 50% (7+ on 2d6) that at least one is in attendance

It is very unlikely that a Grandee would turn up to such an event - after all, with all due respect to those characters who died, no one of any social significance lost their life. Should one attend, it would be one of the army commanders and they would only be there as window dressing for the writers, no one would have the opportunity to toady with them.

I noticed you've taken the rules out for marriage and such. Do you have any methodology should such be an attractive option to lend legitimacy to alleged offspring?

Restoration is linked to TPT and there was no marriage in TPT as it "freezes" the ladies, if I recall correctly.

GG was mostly a Panache guy with no money ^^ He could have lead the regiment with higher SL but "just" got 2 MiDs. Court his baroness, please ^^

Actually, if I read the rules correctly, a lady gives birth, and then 're-enters' the dating scene, which is peculiar. I could be mis-reading though.

Well, you can always try to court a lady when she is not within the three (?) months close to the delivery.

Well, unless its favorable for women to have children out of wedlock and then just go back to enjoying having their attentions sought, marriage has to be possible. Then again, there is the question of the actual paternity and if that character would want to be able to prove it. I'm just musing mostly since the rules are missing the possibility of wedlock.
